Drug Screening Q & A:

What is drug screening?

Drug screening involves diagnostic tests that detect various substances within your body. At Dunia Health Clinic, we provide non-DOT and DOT drug tests, depending on your specific requirements. Our providers adhere to CDL and DOT compliance standards. We offer both lab-based tests, with samples sent to a lab for confirmation, and rapid tests that provide initial results immediately after collection. Positive rapid test results are confirmed by a lab.

What do drug tests screen for?

Our drug tests at Dunia Health Clinic can detect various substances, including opioids, marijuana, amphetamines, steroids, cocaine, phencyclidine (PCP), and barbiturates. These tests analyze blood, urine, saliva, sweat, or hair samples for the presence of these substances.

Why would I need drug screening?

The most common reason for drug testing is employment-related. Certain professions, such as truck drivers, pilots, or merchant marines, may require DOT or federal drug testing in compliance with DOT rule 49, CFR Part 40. Non-DOT drug testing may also be mandated by non-DOT employers. Additionally, athletes, legal cases, and medical monitoring for opioid use are other situations that may necessitate drug testing.

What should I expect during drug screening?

During your visit to Dunia Health Clinic for a drug test, you can anticipate the following:

  • Urine Tests: You’ll provide a urine sample following proper hygiene procedures. Our staff will guide you through the process, and you’ll return the collection container to your provider.
  • Blood Tests: For blood tests, a small sample will be drawn from a vein in your arm. This blood sample is then analyzed for the presence of specific drugs.

What do my results mean?

Our specialists at Dunia Health Clinic will review and explain your drug test results. You’ll receive a copy of your results, and if required, we will send a copy to your employer, coach, or attorney.
